Joining my research group

I am always looking for talented, dedicated and friendly individuals to join my research group. This can be done at a variety of levels: PhD student, postdoctoral research assistant, postdoctoral fellow or professor. We have funding for some of these positions, but we are also impressed if you bring your own funding. At PhD level, there are many international scholarships available, such as the Commonwealth Scholarships. At postdoc level, there are great opportunities such as the EPSRC Fellowships, EU Marie Curie Actions Fellowship for Researchers, and Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships.Get in touch to discuss any of these.

Internships

Note that as a rule, I do not host short-term (i.e. summer) visiting student interns because there is simply not enough time to get tangible results to make the joint commitment worthwhile. As with all rules, I am willing to consider an exception under the right circumstances.
